Effortless Sunday

Top: Madewell
Pants: Current Elliott
Shoes: Adidas
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff
Choker: Loren Olivia
Sunglasses: Salt.

It’s finally feeling *a little bit* like winter in Florida. Isn’t it so hard to get out of bed in the colder months? This was one of those days. A la I want to still have the rest of my day with minimum effort and maximum comfort. Current Elliott are the kind of jeans that feel so soft you could sleep in them. They are some of my absolute favorites–so snuggly. Add some sneakers and this oversized crop top and I was all set for some barbacoa tacos & mezcal margaritas.

I’m back at it, and right before the new year. Already making one one of my New Year’s resolutions to be more active on my blog, and my now YouTube channel. Here is to the New Year! Goodbye 2016! Well, before I say goodbye, I’m planning on one more post after this one…and it was shot in one of my favorite areas of north Florida.

You see, I’m already dreaming about the future. Let’s start with the present. You know those days where it’s so dreary out you just feel like throwing on sweatpants and not doing anything with your hair? This was almost one of those days, but then I remembered these amazing boots! Thank you Sam Edelman for making a stylish boot for the masses. I’ve pinned several $200+ rain boots on Pinterest over the past few years so when I saw these were under $55 they immediately made my wish list. Keeping with my green theme is a nod to the cold shoulder trend. I love the muted tone of this Topshop piece, and I’m finding this trend to be a perfect addition to the fluctuating weather here. I paired it with these almost black high waisted jeans from one of my favorite brands. The feeling of being hands free is also a new regular for me right now, which is why this backpack purse has been a staple for me recently. I love the way the fringe adds a detailed element to this look while also remaining minimal at the same time.

Eyes on Eyelet: The Perfect Off The Shoulder

Jeans: House of Harlow
Shoes: Topshop
Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs
Sunglasses: Salt.
Earrings: Market

I have to admit, at first, I was hesitant to fall into the off the shoulder trend that is blowing up everywhere right now. That was until I found the *perfect* one. Now, let me start by saying these blouses are NOT created equally. Just a hair more of elastic on these, and you are getting too much pinch in all the wrong places. When I saw this one in Madewell I knew I had to try it on, just to see, and voilà it was the perfect fit. Keeping with the flowy, relaxed vibe of this semi-eyelet top I paired it with these beautifully distressed high-rise denim from House of Harlow. As predicted, I could not resist color all together so these chandelier earrings were calling my name. For makeup, I kept the eyes simple and completed the look with a metallic lip.

Festival Fashion

Top: Chaser
Skirt: Blu Pepper
Sweater: Topshop
Hat: Roxy
Bag: Madewell
Shoes: Guess
Necklace: Target

You guys, can we talk about festival fashion for a minute. This is it. This is the moment you can finally justify that unique piece that you’ve been eyeing for the past few months. For me, it was this fringe skirt. I paired it with this Bowie Chaser tee for an homage to The White Duke. Tribal themed jewelry, shoes, and sweater pull this look together without being too matchy matchy. No one wants to fuss with larger purses while you’re dancing/vibing, and I thought this adorable camera purse from Madewell would fit all my must haves. What festivals are on your list this year and what signature piece are you dying to show off?

Vest: Topshop
Leggings: BP
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff
Shoes: Nike

Ahhh, athleisure. Can this trend stay around forever? It might live on in my closet regardless of what the mags are saying. Let’s start with comfort. This is the closest thing to wearing PJ’s outside of my house comfort I’m going to get…and now that Kate Middleton has declared leggings as pants I can rest assured that even this tomboyish look can translate into classic badassery. Once Nike announced they were bringing back the Huarache (not to be confused with Chris Brown’s Karrueche) I had to get my hands, or feet, on them. After a hop and a skip over to Nordstrom I found them. OH THE COMFORT. I tried on several Nike’s, and these just took the cake for me- style and comfort wise. If you are in the market for some new trainers, I definitely recommend giving these a go around. I thought adding a maxi vest would really take this outfit from the gym to the streets and give it more of a polished look. What do you think? How are you wearing athleisure this season?
